Maison Hortensia
Description
This lovely house from 1952 is
located in the department of la Manche. Maison Hortensia is
owned by the family since 2009. Around the house you find a
large garden (2.500 m²) with an old walnuttree (1928). This home
is for rent trough out the months may to september. Please see

Interior
Maison Hortensia offers space to a total of 7 persons (two
families). There are three lovely bedrooms and a bathroom,
equipped with shower and sink with towels. So you can leave your
towels at home. Both on the ground floor and the first floor
there's a toilet. The living room is cozy and practical with a
comfortable sofa. In the evening you can enjoy a good book or
watch television with DVD player. The country kitchen is fully
equipped and has a large dining area. The kitchen is fully
equipped with a large refrigerator, cookware and other
inventory.
Environment
Montrabot is a rural village between Bayeux and Saint-Lô, near
the forest Cerisy la Forêt, on the border of la Manche and the
Calvados. Near Montrabot the lanscape offers many appletrees.
The apples are used for local products such as cider and
Calvados. There is also a beautiful church in the village from
the 13th century.
Besides the wide coastal strip,
there is the beautiful landscape. The 'Bocage', consisting of
green pastures surrounded by hedges. The typical Normandy
countryside with green hills, meandering streams, valleys and
forests. Because of its location in the Gulf Stream the climate
is mild with relatively warm summers and mild winters.
At just 10 km. there's the large
domain forest Forêt de Cerisy (2.130 ha), also called Forest of
Balleroy. On the border of the forest you'll find "Abbaye de
Cerisy" (1032) in Cerisy-la-Forêt and near Balleroy the
beautiful Chateau Balleroy "(17th century) with the typical
French gardens and the Balloon Museum. Less than 12 km away you
can have fun looking around among the flea market.
In the small village St. Armand
there is a supermarkets Aldi and Carrefour. You can also tank up
and there is an ATM at 10 km. In the village of Caumont L'Event
(7 km) are an Ecomarché with shops and a bakery, hairdresser,
literatureshop and coffee. There is also an ATM and gasstation.
In the hall of the (Eco) supermarché, there are a magazines and
souvenir shop, buy stamps and outside mailbox.
